Volunteer Lab Opportunity

The Computational Cognitive Development Lab is looking for students who are interested in a voluntary research position in a developmental psychology lab! As a research assistant, you will have the opportunity to help with coding of behavioural experiments, inputting and assisting with data collection, and recruitment of children participants (aged 3 – 7) on campus and at the local museums like the Ontario Science Centre and the Royal Ontario Museum.
Ideally, applicants should have the following:
– Be in good academic standing
– Be able to commit at least 8-10 hours (including weekends) a week
– Be available on weekends to test at local museums or on campus
– Previous experience working with children
– Previous research experience is preferred but not required

Research Assistant Job at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

The Mood Disorders Program and the Centre for Mobile Computing in Mental Health at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual with the following qualifications to work as a Research Assistant on a study using electronic mood diaries in adults and teens with mood disorders.

Qualifications:

  • University degree (minimum BA/BS/BSc or equivalent) in a healthcare-related area
  • Excellent organization & communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with ability to take an active role in project planning.
  • General computer skills and some experience with statistics.
  • Experience coding with MATLAB an asset.
  • Experience in a psychiatric setting a definite asset.
  • Recruitment, training, and monitoring of study participants.
  • Organizing, maintaining, and analyzing study data.
  • Organizing and assisting with recruitment for focus groups.
  • Scheduling, performing, scoring, and recording standardized research interviews with subjects, including periodic follow-up interviews;
  • Acting as liaison between the research team, study participants, and mental health care providers, both over the phone and in person;

The Duncan Lab is looking for a volunteer to gain research experience!

We are looking to accept a volunteer who is willing to contribute 8 hours a week gaining research experience on an eye-tracking study. You will gain direct experience in participant recruitment, assessment, and data collection. Research Assistants Needed!

The Learning and Neural Development Lab is looking for students who are interested in a voluntary research position in the lab to help prepare and run experiments! As part of the lab, you will have the opportunity to prepare visual and auditory stimuli, run the experiments on both children (aged 5-9) and adult participants to collect behavioural data, help with the recruitment of participants on campus and at the local museums such as the Ontario Science Centre, and assist with inputting the data collected.
Ideally, applicants should have the following:
– Be in good academic standing
– Be able to commit at least 6-8 hours (including weekends) a week
– Be available on weekends to test at local museums or on campus
– Previous experience working with children
– Previous research experience is preferred but not required
