Looking for a volunteer research assistant!

Jenn Barnes, a UofT alumni and a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology is conducting her dissertation research on the relationship between maternal trauma and child attachment/behaviours in a refugee population.

She is based in Ottawa but is collecting data from families in Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto.  Currently, she is looking for a volunteer research assistant to help collect data from families in Toronto. The appointments with families are 3 hours long, and the RA would accompany her to the appointments to observe and assist. Applicants would need to be available on weekend days for these appointments. Other duties may include recruitment (e.g., putting up posters) and data entry.

This is an opportunity that provides good experience, great exposure to psychological measures, as well as a reference letter for anyone that’s considering graduate school in psychology! Additional languages (particularly French, Arabic) an asset. If interested, please email Jenn a resume (klauninj@myumanitoba.ca) and include what languages you speak.
