About
What is the PSA?
The Psychology Students’ Association (PSA) is an organization of undergraduate psychology students at the University of Toronto. You, the undergraduate psychology students, elected us!
Our goal
Our goal is to broaden students’ participation in the life of the Psychology Department and the University beyond the classroom. As a student taking a course in psychology, you are a member of the PSA.
Our organization has many purposes. It serves as:
- a liaison between staff and students (an avenue for both compliments and complaints)
- an information service about the department, graduate schools, and just about anything psychology related
- an educational service
- a small test and calendar library
- a social network
PSA Events
We organize great Psychology parties, arrange movie nights, compile course evaluations, and host numerous seminars.
Previous events we’ve held are:
- the Textbook Trades
- Library Research Seminars
- How to go to Graduate School (Clinical and Experimental) Seminars
- Psychology and a Movie Seminars
- Just a Movie
- Psychology After First Year
- APA Writing Seminar
- The Philosophy of Science Debate
- The Wine & Cheese Social
- … and more
Get involved in the PSA
You, the undergraduate psychology students! We need your involvement to function as an effective student organization. Why not start by volunteering to hold an office hour or by being a Class Representative? Please join us in whatever capacity you can.
Remember to attend our events. Call (416-978-6762) or e-mail (psa @ psych.utoronto.ca) us or come by the office for more information.
The PSA office is in Room 509 in the northwest corner of the ground floor of Sidney Smith Hall (SS509). You can come to discuss problems, find out about courses, see our tests and graduate school calendars, or just sit and chat.
Drop by and get to know us, use our tests and attend our events. Together we will get the most out of our undergraduate years.
