Exec candidates must be enrolled in the Psych program (Major/Minor/Specialist). The nominees have to be currently enrolled in a psych course.
Please prepare a short speech about yourself, why you would like to join the PSA, what positions are you interested in, why you think PSA IS AWESOME!

The location of the speeches is TBA, but we’ll keep you updated!

Want to be a part of the awesomeness next year? Then fill in the attached form by the above mentioned deadline. Details about the procedure are available in the form. Further details will be provided closer to the election date.

It is up to you to establish a good sense of psych community on campus by electing the people who are responsible and passionate about serving to the psychology community. There will be a PSA booth in the lobby where you will be able to vote. Office hour volunteers as well as exec members will be there to assist you with voting. Please bring your student ID. Only students who are enrolled in the psych program or currently taking a psych course can vote.

Then come to the bi-annual PSA seminar: “General Introduction to Psychology Program”
to find out more information! This bi-annual seminar will give students
an overview of the psychology programs, admission requirements, as well as
the subject PoST application process on ROSI.

    Every year, the HMB220 class in New College (formerly HMB204) holds a fundraiser for the Geneva Centre for Autism. This year we’re teaming up with the PSA to bring you a Pub Night at The Brunny! So on March 29th, come out, have a drink, and support a great cause!
    Since this is a fundraiser, we can’t get you free drinks, but what we can get you is a great deal on admission! Get one ticket for $5 or three tickets for $12 and get a 10% off voucher for the UofT bookstore (while supplies last)! Why should you buy your tickets from us rather than paying at the door?

What is Dim Sum?

Dim Sum refers to a style of Chinese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum is also well known for the unique way it is served in some restaurants, wherein fully cooked and ready-to-serve dim sum dishes are carted around the restaurant for customers to choose their orders while seated at their tables.

Exam Jam at U of T

April 9 at 9:00am until April 10 at 6:00pm
A healthy body + a healthy mind = exam success!
Come to Sidney Smith Hall on April 9 and 10 to:
- Review course material and study with your classmates
- Improve your study skills
- Eat healthy snacks
- Shoot some hoops, skip rope, limbo
- Try some simple mediation, relaxation and yoga exercises
- learn Mindfulness Meditation with Cheryl Champagne: be introduced to a variety of practices over the 4- 20 minute sessions 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30
- Find overall balance

All are welcome!
However, tutorial sessions are for first-year students (specific courses to be covered are TBD).

This is a FREE event.

Vilma Blenman, B.A., B.ED., M.ED,

Vilma Blenman, B.A., B.ED., M.ED, is a graduate of OISE/University of Toronto, with a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists.
Vilma has also worked with the Toronto District School Board as a counsellor for the past three years as well as a private practitioner providing individual, couple and adolescent counselling. Before transitioning to counselling, Vilma taught high school for over 20 years and has expertise working with high-risk adolescents and their families. She has also led numerous training workshops with teachers to help them develop better cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution skills.
She specializes in narrative techniques/solution focused counselling modalities. She can also share the career paths available after UofT/OISE for those interested in entering the psychology/counselling field.

Professional Networking Night for Psychology Students

- Students will be put into groups of 5-7, going to one table every 15 minutes
- Each student has the opportunity to interact with the professional

Whether or not you were able to attend last week’s afternoon tea event,

students are often fearful of approaching a professor, and the informal
setting will allow for interaction with students whose place you were in
not too long ago.  We would absolutely love to see faculty members come by
and chat. There will be an assortment of delicious desserts and
