The PCAT construct validity study

The Musculoskeletal Program at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (TRI) has developed a new Pain competence assessment tool (PCAT) to assess the core competencies in pain assessment and management that are common to all prelicensure health professions. As a 1st year student at one of the Health Science Faculties/Departments at the University of Toronto, I am asking for your participation in our study. This study aims to assess the construct validity of the new PCAT.

Participation in this study involves answering the case-scenario questions included in the online PCAT. This will take maximum 60-90 minutes. You can take the questionnaire anytime, and you can stop, save and continue later at your convenience. Your participation is voluntary and all information will remain confidential. Your answers will be kept as de-identified. You may withdraw from the study at any time.

As an appreciation for your time, you will be compensated by a $25 gift card. To receive your gift card or if you have any questions, please contact me by email at samah.hassam@uhn.ca or call at 416-550-8447 ext. 7821.
