Position: Volunteer Research Assistant
Commitment: 12 – 15 hours/month (approximately 3.5 hours a week), for at
least 1 year
Qualifications: Students in their 3rd or 4th year of a BSc in Psychology
with some research experience, or individuals having completed their
undergraduate studies and wishing to gain research experience prior to
graduate studies.
Setting: Sick Kids Centre for Community Mental Health helps more than
8,000 children and families each year through a combination of prevention,
treatment, research, and education activities. Located in Toronto,
Ontario, we are a community affiliate of the University of Toronto’s
Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Social Work. Website:

Responsibilities and Opportunities:
• Coordinate a parent-child and whole-family therapy intervention study
o Participant recruitment, consent, and follow-up
o Data Management
o Exposure to clinical assessment and treatment programs
o Opportunities for involvement in research ethics applications,
manuscript preparation and conference presentations
Interviews will begin December 1, until suitable candidates are found.
