Do you find yourself frustrated with the state of Canada’s healthcare system? It’s time to rethink our healthcare. Now in its 20th year, the University of Toronto International Health Program presents its theme for its annual Health and Human Rights Conference: Integrated Healthcare!
What: This conference will bring together professionals, graduate, and undergraduate students on a UofT platform, engaging them in a dialogue about pertinent health issues with diverse perspectives and fields of studies. Our theme this year will explore the ways in which patients, healthcare professionals, and other diverse stakeholders can better collaborate to improve our healthcare system.

Who: This year, we are featuring several renowned interdisciplinary healthcare practitioners and researchers as keynote speakers. We are providing a range of workshops run by UofT groups and community members (e.g. police officers, nurses, etc.) that will present case problems and train and equip our conference participants with the skills to effectively solve Canada’s healthcare issues. Please check out https://www.hhrights.org/ for more details about our speakers and workshops.

Opportunities: We are offering in-person network opportunities and a volunteer fair for you to make valuable connections with professionals and communities in the healthcare field. You will receive a certificate for completing all of the workshops at the end of the conference. There will also be a research poster fair (if you are a UofT student or researcher and interested in participating- please email hhr@utihp.ca to receive more details). The overall goal of this conference is to enhance your understanding of health and human rights and inspire Canadians to take an active role in shaping the future of the Canadian healthcare system.
