‘Stoicon-X events are annual conferences organized around the world. The theme for this year’s conference in Toronto is PRACTICE. Stoicism is a highly practical philosophy. It is meant to be put into action and it is not designed for those who prefer to stay on the armchair. However, since the majority of the ancient texts are missing, we are uncertain of how the Stoics actually practiced. The StarLab (starlab.utoronto.ca) is looking for volunteer research assistants! In order to apply, you must be a current undergraduate student at UofT. Research Assistants typically spend 8-10 hours per week (which includes one evening shift per week and two weekend days per month). Online Research Study on Trauma

We are a research team at the Wisdom & Identity Lab at the University of Toronto – OISE under the supervision of Dr. Michel Ferrari. We are conducting a research study to examine the factors that explain the relationship between experiencing a traumatic event and the possibility of growth and/or positive outcomes following adversity. Paid Working Memory EEG Study

The Cochlear Implant lab at Sunnybrook hospital is currently recruiting for normal hearing individuals between the ages of 35-70. Participants, during the study, will be given a list of 7 characters (letters and numbers) to remember and then will be asked if a certain character was in the list. In total, it will take 3 hours to complete and this includes setting up the EEG cap and clean up. Individuals will be compensated $50 and a free parking pass. Paid Music Attention Study

THIS STUDY IS NO LONGER LOOKING FOR PARTICIPANTS The Cochlear Implant Lab at Sunnybrook hospital is looking for normal hearing participants for their EEG study on music attention! Eligibility: We are seeking normal hearing individuals, aged 30-80, who are fluent in English.
